Fellowship Following Each Service		 Welcome to the Heartland Metropolitan Community Church website. Metropolitan Community Church was founded in 1968. Our congregation began in 2003 and we have been active in the Central Illinois area since that time. We are glad that you found us, and hope that you will find information here that is helpful and encouraging.

We're ecumenical - that means that our participants come from many church backgrounds - Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical and none. We're international - part of a fellowship of Christians that has worship centers in more than twenty five countries, on every continent.

We seek to be a spiritual home for many lesbian, gay and transgendered people, but our welcome extends to all who would share our commitment to be an affirming and welcoming congregation. We also seek to be a community partner in making Central Illinois a safer, more diverse, and more tolerant place.

This site is just a snapshot of who we are. From time to time we will update it with new information. However, we invite you to visit us at our church, each Sunday at 10:30a.m., as well as 5:30pm on the first and third Sundays of the month. We hope you'll soon realize that Heartland MCC is a great and friendly place to be - and not your ordinary church.
